A whole bunch of photos from our drive down the coast.
Here’s Point Reyes Lighthouse, which was surrounded by seals.
I could hear the seals barking from the lighthouse!
There were a lot of steps going down to the lighthouse, plus many signs warning visitors that they’d eventually have to hike back up. I’m sure there are actually tourists in the world who need those signs.
It was windy!
On the way back, we passed the Devil’s Slide.
The light on Highway One was perfect, don’t you think?
We got to Half Moon Bay, and it was actually shaped like a half moon. As were the cookies in the local pastry shop.
Wild and desolate and beautiful, and not far from some very non-desolate restaurants.
There was a pumpkin festival going on when we arrived, and we saw forklifts hauling away some of the finalists for biggest pumpkin. We’re talking about thousand-pound pumpkins.
Personally, I prefer being able to carry my pumpkin home.
I saved the best for last. This is my favorite photo from Half Moon Bay.
