Green

At home in Wisconsin, my living room is the color of a fresh Key Lime pie. I guess you could say I really like green. Especially in the wintertime. Now it’s that time of year again. Green time: bright chartreuse against the gray. For months, we’ve been waiting for it.

Flood waters

I went up to Fargo at Easter, and the flood waters were still high. But the crisis had just passed, leaving the entire city strangely static, as if it were a surreal, abandoned version of Venice. In North Dakota.

Road to Hana…
